The delivery was smooth, the kit itself is enclosed in a custom made box. The parts are really well done. I look forward to building this kit, and hope for the Avenger Titan, The andromeda in the future.

I absolutely love these models. Lots of nice details, and the packaging even is pretty fun to have on display behind them. I'm in the process of painting all mine up in different liveries available in game!
Fingers crossed I'll get to purchase the 1:100 scale at some point!

Exactly what I expected. I wish they sold preassembled/painted versions though.

Outstanding product. Outstanding company. Money well spent.

I have printed 3D prints myself and always struggled with fine detail. No only are these prints super detailed for their small size, they came away from their support frame very easily. I am very impressed with the quality of these prints and find the price more than worth the value of the product.

The team at jrdf is amazing I had a one off quality issue but these ladies and gentlemen took it upon themselves to make it right I would strongly recommend jrdf to anyone

The skill of JRDF's modelers really shine through with small models as even at this tiny scale the models don't feel like they're missing any of the iconic visual language of the Arrow. As always, JRDF manages to create lovely product boxes that also do a great job of securing the kit for travel and here they've more than managed that in what may also be the most compact kit I've seen from them so far.
I mention scale a lot in my reviews and this will be no exception. I did not realize how small of a fighter the Anvil Arrow is until I placed one of the models from this kit against one of the 1:500 Gladius I own. The difference is much more significant than I expected. Additionally, while it's technically longer and wider, I think the Pisces even beats the Anvil out on mass! None of this is directly related to just this kit but it continues to show how these models do a wonderful job of bringing a real sense of physicality to the ships of Star Citizen that I've experienced no where else.
I also want to address something I read in another review. Before I bought the kit I saw a review that mentioned that the model's wings were flimsy. While the wings on the models I received are thin, I assume by necessity to match the 1:500 scale, I had no issues while cutting away struts or mounting on the stand. While I would be worried if I dropped the model from a shelf, I don't think casually handling the model poses any risk of them bending or breaking off. These are diorama kits and don't seem to sacrifice accurate scale for extra structure like you might see on a tabletop mini. (Not that that's going to stop me from using them for exactly that myself.)
Overall, another great kit from JRDF that holds up to what I've come to expect from the company and that I can happily recommend!

If you put in the time and effort you can get some stunning results!
I absolutely love my JRDF carrack! It captures all the little details and is just a show stopper piece to have on the shelf!

Out of the gate, this kit lined up with my expectations from a JRDF kit. The packaging was well padded and designed with straightforward diagrams of how to assemble the in-flight or landed modes of the model. The model itself is very well detailed and captures the iconic look of the Aegis Vanguard even at the 1:500 scale.
I will also confirm what another review mentioned that the gun's fittings can be too large for the mount on the body of the model. In my opinion, that's just the nature of the medium and it can be fixed by (extremely) carefully carving some excess off of the guns themselves using the same tool used to clear away the struts. It does add some complexity to the build that you should be aware of but it's certainly not something unique to JRDF's models.
Overall, a very fun kit with a good bit of options for customization that I'm very happy with. I definitely recommend for any fans of the Vanguard or anyone looking to generally expand their plastic armada.

Firstly, this kit again meets all my expectations of a JRDF kit. Great packaging, easy to remove struts, and a high standard of quality on the model itself.
I think it's clear that the details on this model are a standout feature. The tubing running across the arms and body as well as the ladder near the cockpit was incredible! (Note: The ladder is missing from the photos in my model due to a mistake on my end. I was distracted while cutting and fully used my clippers on on wrung of the ladder when I just assumed it was a strut. I made the decision to trim it off fully to hide my shame.)
Most of the mid-size 1:500 kits come with the choice of building the model in landed or flight modes. This kit comes with the third option of salvaging mode! Which comes in the form of another set of arms and a swap for the salvaging inlet. From my knowledge, that's the most customization for a kit in this price point!
Overall, I again recommend the model. If you love the Vulture, Drake, or Salvaging in Star Citizen, it's a must have for your plastic fleet!

Continuing my journey through the 1:500 sets, I come to the classic that is the standard Freelancer. Unsurprising, it's another wonderful kit.
Well packaged and easy to remove supports meant I spent more time debating on if I wanted the Freelancer in flight or landed mode than I spent actually assembling the kit itself. The details on the kit itself are again amazing. I had no idea the Freelancer has so many maneuvering thrusters or intakes (I blame MISC's trademark narrow windows) but here on the model they're clear as day.
If you're a MISC fan, want a Star Citizen classic for your collection, or are set on grabbing one of everything, this is the perfect kit to expand your fleet.

Overall, the model has the detailing I've come to expect from JRDF. The box was gorgeous, the model has extremely fine details, and the process of putting it all together is so streamlined. The big twist here, besides this being the biggest model I've gotten from JRDF yet, is the magnets. And boy do they make a difference.
Having to settle on just one configuration for the smaller kits was probably the hardest part about building them but the magnets with this set throws that issue out the window and opens up so many more options for display. Gluing them was painless and once dried they worked wonders. I particularly love the magnetic stand. It's a small thing but it being so easy to shift from displayed in flight or landed is very gratifying.
And as a bonus, the vehicle models that come with it really give an idea to the scale of the Mercury. I've said it in reviews before but I am constantly blown away by how the in-game ships don't have the sense of comparative scale that these models do.
Again, I cannot recommend this kit enough and think very highly of it, but if how quickly they sold out says anything I'm not the only one who thinks that. Get one while you can!

Extremely detailed. Very happy with the product. Would instantly buy a bigger scale model of it was available.
